The move toward teaching in the online environment, whether to supplement on campus learning or to provide a complete course or teaching unit at a distance, has impacted both the teaching and the library communities. Presents a bibliography and discussion aimed at tracing some current thinking as evidenced in the literature and in current research from three perspectives: those of the librarian, the student, and the lecturer. Examines and analyzes ways of integrating digital library and information resources into online learning environments.
