The first Chorley Flower Show was taken place 1-2 August, 2015. As a member of the Club in the Park, I was invited to exhibition creative plant exhibits at the Flower show and decorated the kitchen of this historical house Astley Hall. We have to have all the exhibits prepared 30 July, 2015. The pre-opening cocktail party was on the 31 July, 2015 at the kitchen. On the 31 July, 2015 before the cocktail party for the flower show, a couple was having their wedding in the Hall and had their after wedding party in the kitchen as well. So all the creative plant exhibits were prepared noon of 31 July, 2015. 'Happiness' or 'Celebrations', is a creative plant exhibits that was created combining the western floral art techniques and traditional Chinese symbolic meaning of plants that were used to signified lucky greeting for wedding and festive events. This exhibit has lotus roots, that signified the happy couple were chosen and joint by the Heaven. Peanuts that signified longeivity, 8 spring onions signified clever; 18 garlic plants signified definite success; beetroot signifed lucky, etc. 'Cornupia' is a combination of flower arrangement teachniques but using fruits and with Chinese symbolic meanings. Pineapples signified lots of money; apple signified safe and peace; grapes signified lots of gains. a Herbal ring bindings different flowers and herbs together signified unity.
